Melrose Gets Its Rainbow Crosswalk!!!

After months of waiting through public approvals and estimates, a midnight crew began painting the crosswalk at 7th and Glenrosa Avenues the colors of the rainbow, to honor Melrose’s legacy as an LGBT destination.

Paid for with private donations to Phoenix Pride, and supervised by the City of Phoenix, the plastic polymer is melted onto the tar of the street and should withstand Arizona’s brutal summers if maintained regularly. Read more.

  1. That is a waste of money for all that pain when there is a a better way to apply money in our communities I homeless condition is out of control why not help in apply the money there and some other major issues
